Early Life and Conversion

Apostle Wanjala was born on November 4th, 1976, in Bungoma, a county in Western Kenya. He received his basic education in the region and earned his high school certificate from Luanda Boys High School.

It was during his high school years that he embraced his faith, receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior on August 25th, 1991. In the same year, he was immediately filled by the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues.

Foundational Ministry and Family

Responding to a powerful call from God, Apostle Wanjala began his ministry in 1995. He became greatly involved in evangelism and mission outreaches across Western Kenya, where he was instrumental in the pioneering of Daylight Ministries. This Pentecostal denomination currently has branches in both Kenya and Uganda.

It was during this formative period of ministry (1995–2000) that he met Beatrice Anyango Aketch, whom he married in a holy matrimony ceremony on December 4th, 1999. The ceremony was officiated by Bishop James Kavuvah.

Launching Fountain of Joy & Mentorship

In 2001, Apostle Wanjala responded to a divine call to relocate from Western Kenya to Nairobi City, the capital. This move connected him with the late Dr. Joseph Kayo, whom he sought mentorship from and considered his spiritual father and protégé for many years.

Under the late Apostle Dr. Kayo’s spiritual fatherhood, he began his first congregation, the Fountain of Joy Center, in Dandora, Nairobi, in 2004. The debut service began with three members and has since experienced significant growth.

Dedicated Service and Ordination

Apostle Wanjala served faithfully as the worship music leader and a ministry assistant to the late Apostle Dr. Joe Kayo for many years:

  • He ministered daily during the lunch hour service at the then City Hall, spanning seven years (2007–2014).
  • He also served in Pentecostal revival meetings at the 680 Hotel from 2015 to 2019.

It was during this period of dedicated service that he was licensed by the government as a church minister, culminating in an ordination ceremony officiated by the late Dr. Joseph Kayo to become a Reverend. Today, he leads his flock as an Apostle.

Apostle Wanjala’s commitment to leadership and theological depth is reflected in his educational achievements:
